How to get vomit out of your carpet
Tending to the aftermath of a sickness bug doesn’t have to be a hassle. With Resolve® Pet Expert Stain and Odor Remover Foam it’s easy to remove vomit stains from your carpet whilst neutralizing the odour. For large area carpet clean just follow the steps below:
Step 1
Shake the can well. Hold can upside down about two feet above carpet. Spray foam evenly over a three-foot square area
Step 2
Work the foam into the carpet using a damp, colorfast mop
Step 3
Repeat steps one and two until the entire area is cleaned
Step 4
When dry, vacuum thoroughly to remove dried foam and loosened dirt
Important:
Before you go to clean dried vomit from your carpet, always read the label on the product packaging. If you’re unsure, test on a small inconspicuous area before full application.
How to clean vomit from the sofa
If you have accidental vomit stains on your couch, don’t worry because you can follow the same steps above to remove marks from your sofa as you would from your carpet. Plus, the Resolve formula is colour safe, to help protect your upholstery from annoying stains. Just follow these easy steps to remove stains from upholstery:
Step 1
Blot wet soils with a clean absorbent cloth
Step 2
Shake can well and generously apply directly to stain from a distance of four-six inches. Allow foam to absorb into stain for three minutes
Step 3
Gently blot area with a clean, damp, colorfast sponge or cloth. Rub gently if required. Do not over wet fabrics. To avoid rings, clean entire section where soiling occurred
Step 4
Rinse sponge or cloth and repeat as necessary. Allow fabric to dry thoroughly before use
Step 5
Only use spray cap to dispense foam for upholstery cleaning
Tips
Clean up ASAP – Vomit contains gastric acid, which means if you don’t treat it fast, you run the risk of permanently staining your carpets. Try and clean it up as soon as possible to minimize damage.
Pick it up – Pick up what you can with a piece of paper towel so you can dispose of it easily.
